For fans of The Home Edit or Marie Kondo on Netflix, we have a treat for you. It’s time to perfect your outdoor storage and we have a wonderful case study from a project in London which truly has a place for everything and makes the most of the spaces that they have available.
In this project, we created bespoke storage in two areas of the property as well as adding a matching bench. To keep the glowing look of the new Iroko for longer, the wood was finished in a UV treatment made by Owatrol. It is called Aquadecks and the colour is Honey. It is slightly tinted to protect the timber from UV weathering.
Let’s walk through the bespoke features of these stores:
An electric car charger cover
Whilst the cars are gorgeous, the chargers can be less attractive. This Tesla charger cover does a great job of covering it up whilst also protecting it from the elements. It has corner doors to allow for easy access and a roof to keep the rain out.
Wheelie bin store
Another necessary eyesore that we all have in our gardens; wheelie bins really benefit from being covered up. This section of the store has a planter roof for added interest. Our bin stores are very popular with many of our customers, and you can view more ideas for them here >
Matching bench and storage
Inside the wheelie bin store, there is a cupboard which can be used for secure storage, really maximising this unusual space. It can also be accessed from the side which is next to a beautiful matching bespoke bench. This is the perfect place for storing wellies and then getting them on and off easily before going inside.
Dream storage for garden tools
Between the wheelie bin store and the tesla charger there was some extra space and here we have a feature that we are particularly proud of. This pull out with holes is going to be perfect for storing garden tools upright so that the right tool is always close to hand.
Attention to detail
At this property, we also made a bike store which fits perfectly under a stairway. To finish the look, a messy wall was covered up with slatted panels and extra wooden detailing was added to one of the steps.
