French styled “Beau Treillage” garden design

When you have a very distinctive idea and vision for a garden design you want to be sure you are working with people that make your vision a reality. So it was with this project for an urban garden in London. To be sure we had what it takes, the client visited our workshop and design studio to meet the team that would help create her dream garden.

Determined to prove we could help, we provided some initial estimates before planning a site visit to take dimensions and discuss initial ideas. The brief was to develop a garden design with a French style, “beau treillage” (or “beautiful trellis”) and an emphasis on distinctive design, so we set to work on ideas and design drawings to present to the client. The project went through several stages of design before everyone involved was happy to proceed. The main challenge to overcome during this project was creating a scheme that was symmetrical even though the garden space available was not.

The finished design featured highly distinctive bespoke sculptured trellis panels in a two-tone finish, each with a framed antique mirrored centrepiece and arched top capping with circular detail and classic finials.

Despite the challenges, both the customer and project manager are extremely happy with the outcome and love the individuality of the design. The resulting garden design is a highly distinctive and decorative outdoor space, a very special alfresco setting in the heart of the city.
